Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 28 July 2026

TYPEGLIDE (“TYPEGLIDE”, “we”, “us”) provides a Chrome extension and backend services that generate text on request inside online text fields. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Information we collect

  • Account data: email address, verification status, authentication/session data.
  • Generation data: the text you submit for generation, selected templates, limited context memory you choose to use, and the generated output.
  • Usage data: generation counters (used/remaining), plan tier, selected model, extension settings, and basic reliability logs (timestamps, request IDs, error logs).
  • Billing metadata: subscription/customer identifiers and plan status from Paddle billing updates (we do not store full card details).

The browser extension may store certain data locally in Chrome storage, including extension settings, saved templates, the selected AI model, account-bound built-in chat history, and—when enabled—limited context memory. Context memory may include recent TYPEGLIDE prompts and generated outputs together with a normalized page or chat URL used only to keep context separated between different pages or conversations. Users can clear built-in chat history and context memory from the extension. Account-bound local chat history and context data are cleared when the user logs out or changes accounts.

2) How we use information

  • Provide AI generations and return outputs to the extension.
  • Authenticate users, verify emails, and support password reset via code.
  • Enforce plan limits and allowed models server-side.
  • Provide customer support and resolve technical issues.

3) Third parties

TYPEGLIDE uses third-party processors to operate the service:

  • AI providers: Groq, DeepSeek, Google Gemini, and OpenAI process generation requests to produce outputs. GPT OSS Fast is currently served through Groq.
  • Email: Resend sends verification and password reset emails.
  • Billing: Paddle handles checkout, payments, taxes (where applicable), and receipts.
  • Hosting/Infrastructure: service hosting and database providers used to run our backend and store required service data.
  • Analytics (optional): if we enable website analytics, we will disclose the provider and data collected, and provide consent where required.

4) What is sent to AI providers

When you request a generation, we send only the text required to fulfill your request (your prompt, selected template, and any limited context memory you choose to include) to the selected AI provider. The provider returns a generated output, which TYPEGLIDE sends back to you.

5) Chrome Web Store Limited Use

TYPEGLIDE’s use and transfer of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide or improve TYPEGLIDE’s user-facing features. We do not use or transfer it for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or sale to data brokers. We do not allow humans to read user data except with the user’s explicit consent for support, when necessary for security, to comply with applicable law, or when the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

6) Data retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active. After a deletion request, we typically delete or anonymize within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal, security, or billing reasons.
  • Generation data: retained up to 30 days for reliability, abuse prevention, and support, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Billing records: retained as required for accounting, tax, and compliance obligations.

7) Security

  • Passwords are stored using strong hashing.
  • TYPEGLIDE does not operate on password fields.

Despite safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8) Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can clear local built-in chat history and context memory from the extension, request account deletion, and cancel subscriptions via the billing customer portal.

9) Children

TYPEGLIDE is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10) Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the latest version and update the effective date.
