Privacy Policy
Typeglide (“Typeglide”, “we”, “us”) provides a Chrome extension and backend services that generate text on request inside online text fields. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1) Information we collect
- Account data: email address, verification status, authentication/session data.
- Generation data: the text you submit for generation (prompt and any context you choose to include) and the generated output.
- Usage data: generation counters (used/remaining), plan tier, and basic reliability logs (timestamps, request IDs, error logs).
- Billing metadata: subscription/customer identifiers and plan status from Lemon Squeezy webhooks (we do not store full card details).
2) How we use information
- Provide AI generations and return outputs to the extension.
- Authenticate users, verify emails, and support password reset via code.
- Enforce plan limits and allowed models server-side.
- Prevent abuse and improve reliability (rate limiting, fraud prevention, operational monitoring).
- Provide customer support and resolve technical issues.
3) Third parties
Typeglide uses third-party processors to operate the service:
- AI providers: Groq, DeepSeek, and OpenAI process generation requests to produce outputs.
- Email: Resend sends verification and password reset emails.
- Billing: Lemon Squeezy processes checkout, subscriptions, taxes (where applicable), and provides the customer portal.
- Hosting/Infrastructure: service hosting and database providers used to run our backend and store required service data.
- Analytics (optional): if we enable website analytics, we will disclose the provider and data collected, and provide consent where required.
4) What is sent to AI providers
When you request a generation, we send only the text required to fulfill your request (your prompt and any context you choose to include) to the selected AI provider. The provider returns a generated output, which Typeglide sends back to you.
5) Data retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active. After a deletion request, we typically delete or anonymize within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal, security, or billing reasons.
- Generation data: retained up to 30 days for reliability, abuse prevention, and support, then deleted or anonymized.
- Billing records: retained as required for accounting, tax, and compliance obligations.
6) Security
- TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit.
- Passwords stored using strong hashing.
- Rate limiting on auth and generation endpoints.
- Webhook verification (HMAC signature) and idempotent processing to reduce replay risk.
- Typeglide does not operate on password fields.
Despite safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7) Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can also cancel subscriptions via the billing customer portal.
8) Children
Typeglide is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9) Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the latest version and update the effective date.
